Each woman is unique, a mixture of qualities and identities changing over time and space yet connected in a single body. This series of watercolors tries to capture momentary glimpses of each woman's' feminine nature.
The women depicted here are all real. They are surrounded by things that are significant to them, that define some part of who they are. Thus the context of the painting is as important as the figure and the use of watercolor reinforces the notion of a memory or fleeting image. |
